We learned about the parts of a seed and germination with Myra Manning from Johnny's Selected Seeds. We germinated green bean seeds and are making observations as they develop. We also researched microgreens and the strategies for growing them in our greenhouse. We started trays with soil and basil, sorrel, and beet seeds. They've started growing! We can't wait to harvest our first crops!
Working in the wind. Thanks to Ben, Airel, and Mr. Leahey for helping to build the roof vents of our greenhouse! It was pretty windy and we had a few obstacles to tackle, but we made progress!
We worked together as a team today to accomplish many tasks to get our gardens ready for spring planting! We also tightened the plastic on the greenhouse and helped to build the roof vents of the new greenhouse!
We worked together through high winds to put the plastic on our hoop house! It took a lot of team work and strength!
